Our People
John Bee - Head of conveyancing
Assisted by Debbie Stonebanks
I entered the law in the late 1960’s and qualified as a Legal Executive on my 25th
birthday. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and am head
of the Property Department of the Firm.
Although we deal primarily with the sale/purchase/remortgage of residential property,
we also deal with business sales and purchases.
We have an exceptional team of solicitors/conveyancers and support staff to ensure
your transaction meets, if not exceeds your expectations. We do pride ourselves
upon establishing a good working relationship with clients as early as possible,
which is so important to both sides in communicating throughout the transaction
and this also assists the smooth running and completion of the deal.
I am married, have three adult sons and three granddaughters (so far). In my spare
time I play guitar in a Beach Boys tribute band.

David Pett - Solicitor & Partner
Assisted by Terri Mulligan
I studied in Nottingham and became a solicitor in 1982
I have during my career helped and met thousands of different and interesting people.
I have worked in various different areas of the law, handling personal injury claims,
advising on family and employment issues, acting for boxers and professional footballers,
and more recently guiding sellers and buyers of property.
I am not a lawyer who only thinks about the law, I know there is much more involved
in resolving legal problems and handling and guiding people through the formalities
involved in buying and selling property. My pet hate is the illusion some solicitors
give about how complicated it is to move home. I am not saying it is simple, but
in the main it is straightforward and should therefore be an enjoyable experience.
My football interest lies with Manchester United and I have followed the team since
the age of 8. Football is my passion and I have had the pleasure of working in the
industry advising and assisting professional footballers meeting along the way famous
managers and ex-players. I also enjoy photography.

I have been handling the legal side of residential property work for over forty

of fuss. I joined MJP in February 2011 and, prior to that, I worked for over twenty
years with a national law firm.
When I am not in the office my wife and I enjoy walking and bird watching. We have

Lisa Palliser - Conveyancing Executive
I moved to Norfolk from Hertfordshire in 1992. I commenced working for Morgan Jones
& Pett in Residential Conveyancing in 2001, having gained extensive experience working
for both a local and Nationally renowned Firm. We all know how stressful moving
home can be at times and it is particularly rewarding knowing I have helped ensure
the process is as stress free and smooth as possible.
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my son, horse riding and socialising.
We also love to visit Cornwall although in previous years we have been in a tent
and it is not so enjoyable in the rain but we have also been graced with sunshine
which draws us back year after year.
